Fishin'

You and me goin' fishin' in the dark, lyin' on our backs and countin' the stars..
.. Ok, so it wasn't dark, and we definately did not lie on our backs.
Two days ago Zac comes home from work to inform me we're going fishing.. with Todd. Yay! Fun times come with Todd. So Zac packs up the scooters with all his fishing gear, and we scoot on out to the river. (By the way, Cache Valley has way better rivers than anything St. George could offer me. I felt like I could have been on the fishing channel.) Anyway, we're driving to this river and I begin to realize, it's REALLY far away. After a little off-roading we park it in some secret campground that seems to be hidden from the world. So we walk through the trees to the river and it is ICE cold. About half way across the river your feet go numb and then the rocks under your feet begin to feel more theraputic rather than painful. So here we are wading in this river.. for an hour. You would cast your line and wait.. nothing so as your reeling it in, the fish jumps out of the water, exactly where our line had just been. It was like he was teasing us! Freaking fish.

So the boys are fly fishing trying to catch these annoying jumper trout and Zac had me hold the regular fishing pole, so in an attempt to distract myself from the millions of bees we were surrounded by (there were seriously tons, and i'm allergic. Good combo, me and bees, miles and miles away from any hospital and our fastest form of transportation is a scooter) I cast my line, the more I practiced the better I got at it. (I hope the worm on the end was dead by now, otherwise I'm sure there would have been worm vomit everywhere from the amount he was getting thrown around.) One more cast, (by the way Zac told me to yank on the line if the little red and white ball went under the water, meaning I had a fish hooked, I guess) the boys were busy with their fly fishing, and suddenly something pulled on my line. I looked out and realized there was no red and white ball. I began reeling in the line when I realized I had no idea what I was doing.

Sarah: I got one!!
Zac: (focused on something to do with his rod) Don't make jokes, it's not funny.
Sarah: No I really got one!
Zac: Sarah, seriously.
Sarah: Zac! The ball went under the water!
Zac and Todd: (They both finally realize I'm telling the truth) Pull! Yank up on the rod!

So i did, and I reeled this little fishy in! Yay for me! I can fish now, I'm absolutely amazing. Ha!

In the end, I was the only one who caught a fish.. mostly out of luck. Not that it means much, cause turns out it was a trash fish. I think it was called Carp, or something of the sort. Basically Zac said it's like the dirty rat of fish. Gross.

Time & Eternity

August 8th, 2008 we were married for time and all eternity. Lets just say it was the happiest day of our lives. The day was perfect, with the exception of the blazing heat at 11:30 when we were supposed to stand outside the temple for an hour taking pictures with our family. Yes that was sweaty. Later, after the luncheon, the rain began pouring down, and by the time the reception started outside, it wasand overcast with no rain, no sun and the temperature wasn't half bad. Here are some pics taken before the hottest day ever, just in case the most wonderful day became the hottest, rainiest, most beautiful day. Good thing photographers plan ahead. :)

Last, but most definately not my least favorite.. Honestly, how could we leave out the sunglasses picture. It's so very.. us.

The reception turned out beautiful and was full of fun things! Everything was very relaxed which is just our style. Justin and Chris provided live entertainment, which was fantastic. Zac's dad Greg sang us a song and it was awesome. And to top it all off, after Zac pulled the garter off with his teeth and prepared to throw it in the huge group of his groomsmen, he turned and flung it into the pool, after which Todd and Randon, without hesitation, jumped in after it. It was priceless, especially seeing both of them, soaking wet in there black pants, white (see through) shirts, and red ties.
